This robot looks like something straight out of the Star Wars universe, and its already taken to some of the busiest urban streets in America. A tiny cooler on wheels with an internal AI, this delivery bot can bring a sandwich straight to your door, albeit slowly for now, without your ever having to speak to, or tip, a human being. In this interview with NPR, one of the concerns raise was that it would put people out of the job, which is somewhat incorrect as it would create manufacturing jobs and now management jobs within the stores that utilize the tech, but I think they should be asking a different question. Whats to stop human nature, that is whats to stop someone from... tagging, tampering with, redirecting, strapping a firecracker to, taking home to keep as a pet, or any litany of imaginable mischief that the average joe could concoct upon seeing one of these revolutionary and outrageously expensive little bots for the 1st, 5th or 100th time on they way down the street? Will we soon be seeing sandwich bots with little escort security bots following them to ward of any interceptors? See, these are the complications your really should be thinking about before unleashing artificial intelligence on the world, I mean just think about it.
