This second example of generative chair design I find slightly more appropriate. It take a simple and perfect design, perfected, and reinvents it to be more unique, modular, and elegant. This harnesses the computer for what it seems to be best at for now, reducing material waste by designing something that is easy to prefabricate and assemble and also looks good. I'm not sure exactly how this tool works, and frankly it seems somewhat complicated and even hazardous to use in settings that more utilitarian stools might perform well in, but for a simple household folding stool it is efficient are for more attractive. I appreciate the now take on an age old tool, and how algorithms could do the dirty work in finding this new approach.
